Update: Performing Arts Center Model Shows Development, Not Green Space

Many are starting to take notice that in Orlando, “green space” in renderings is code for “more development.” Two weeks ago, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, and other representatives touted the latest Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center rendering showing the proposed CNL Arts Plaza. The “green space” shown is far from the reality and now images of the official DPAC model have been found showing the real development plans, not public green space. It seems our local elected officials will try to deceive the public about anything.

Changes the view just a little, doesn’t it? Here’s a reminder of the rendering shown to the public two weeks ago, conveniently leaving out the commercial developments and painting a different picture for the public:
