Earned Sick Time in Orange Needs YOU to stand up to Commission at September 11th hearing

The struggle for Earned Sick Time in Orange County continues as Commissioners plan to implement their “sneak attack” on the first citizen petition to qualify for the ballot. The Earned Sick Time campaign needs YOU to show up to the Commission meeting on September 11th at 1:00pm. (RSVP at the event page)

Sick Time garnered over 50,000 petitions from registered voters in the county. How do the politicians respond to the voice of the people? By adding a competing measure to November’s ballot to prohibit ANY county government regulation of Employer-Employee relations. This would undermine Earned Sick Time even if voters approve it and it could very well jeopardize other measures, protections and regulations.
