Knockerball Kicks Off Bubble Soccer Season in Orlando

knockerballKnockerball, or bubble soccer, is kicking off a new season while stating the league is “Orlando’s fastest growing sport” according to a recent press release. Participants wear inflatable orbs while trying to score goals on a shortened soccer field. Knockerball Orlando says it offers a fresh, fun way to play soccer games – and could be a winning mix if the recent local soccer craze really does take off.

“Bubble Soccer is one of the fastest growing sports,” the statement declared. “The game is an exercise in hilarity, but also great exercise.”

Games are played every Tuesday night from 7-9pm at La Liga Indoor Soccer and there is after-game entertainment. Bubble soccer games are 30 minutes in length (4 five-minute quarters and a five-minute halftime). The cost to play is $40 for unlimited play all night, or $10 per single game (although Knockerball offers a $20 discount code for those who call). After the game, players gather at Graffiti Junktion where those over 21 get $5 pitchers of Bud, Bud Lite and Yuengling, and all participants receive half off all appetizers as well as a 15% discount off the entire check.

“Knockerball indoor soccer bubble games will literally have the participants and the spectators rolling in the aisles – from laughter,” the league’s release stated. “Due to the popularity of the game, space is limited and pre-registration is recommended. Walk-ups will be allowed if space is available.”

Knockerball Orlando also markets to company picnics or other outdoor events. The company is experienced at both renting out materials and planning games for events.

Who knows, if Knockerball continues to be “Orlando’s fastest growing sport,” perhaps in a few years there will be another possible tenant for the planned new soccer stadium.

“As Knockerball’s mission states, it’s a game people will literally be going head over heels to play.”
